The Sitric Compost Bootcamp Series – Spring 2013

Yesterday’s Irish Times reported on our monthly compost bootcamps.

“It’s hard to imagine so much energy and imagination crammed into one little corner of Dublin, but from little acorns and all that.

In Stoneybatter, Dublin 7, where Sitric Road meets Viking Place (it sounds like an adventure already), the Sitric Garden has begun its first in a series of monthly bootcamps offering advice, demonstrations and delicious cookies to anyone with an interest in composting. The community garden has all types of composting on the go, whatever your needs or space requirements.

Bootcamps are free, friendly and for everyone from beginners to seasoned gardeners. From 2-4pm on the first Sunday of March and April; look for the Sitric Compost Garden Community on Facebook.”

One dozen composting enthusiasts, representing both north & south of the Liffey, engaged in a riveting exchange on the merits of worms, micro-organisms and bacteria at our first Bootcamp last month. Viva la Revolution! Next session is Sunday March 3rd, 2-4 pm.
